John Langlois has been in full time ministry for over thirty years. For five and a half years he served the Diocese of Tasmania as Director of the children’s homes and crisis accommodation for the south of the state. During that time he represented Australia as part of an international study team with the Japanese branch of International Council of Social Welfare. It is also in Tasmania where his father, father in law and uncle all served as Anglican priests. The balance of John’s ministry has been with transdenominational missions and ministries including annual visits to India for eight years with his wife as part of an initiative to provide pastoral care to frontier mission and church planting teams.

John’s initial training and work was in telecommunications and radio broadcasting, later he studied with the University of the Nations in Canberra (Australia) and Hawaii in the areas of discipleship, evangelism, biblical studies and counseling.

Over the years the Langlois’ ministry has taken them to over twenty different countries. They are now working with the Christian Performing Artist’s Fellowship, which has its international office here in the United States.

John is a pastor/teacher and graphics/media artists and his wife Roslyn is a classical concert pianist, counselor and worship leader. Both are gifted communicators

John Langlois
John initially trained and worked for Telecom Australia in the areas of telephony and radio.
In 1973 John with his wife Roslyn became members of “Beth Shalom Community Inc.”, resigning in 1975 to work full time in that ministry. Since then he has held the following positions:

Director Clarendon Children’s Homes Inc. 1979 - 85

The Anglican welfare agency providing residential care and foster for children of all ages who are unable to live at home. During his tenure as director the home grew from two functioning cottages to a community of four cottages, seven foster homes, three temporary accommodation units for families in crisis and a transition facility for young people in care moving to independent living situations.

From 1985 to 1988 John was a student and later staff of the Crossroads Disciplship Training School and Biblical Counselling School in Canberra Australia, and during this time also completed the School of Biblical Studies on the Hawaii campus of the University of the Nations. The diplomas together are the equivalent to the Associate Arts degree.

State Director of Youth With A Mission Tasmania. 1988 - 99

An international trans-denominational mission organisation involved in evangelism, mercy ministries and training. This ministry was blessed to have initiated training programs for young people and teens and provided short term mission and outreach opportunities to China, Latvia, Russia, New Zealand, Canada, Spain, Indonesia, Fiji and has sent long term missionaries to Mongolia.

Director Beth Shalom Community Inc. 1989 until it merged with YWAM Tasmania

A government recognised “Community Benevolent Society” involved in rehabilitation and support of people with alcohol and drug related problems as well as providing a retreat for anyone who just needed time out among friends.

President of Hope Foundation Communicators Inc. 1992 - 1999

A Christian radio station in Hobart focused primarily on reaching the unchurched through a mix of contemporary music with short culturally relevant “spots”, interviews and teaching. John was also involved in “on air” presentation.

State Coordinator for Pastors Prayer Summits Australia 1996 - 1999

Working in conjunction with International Renewal Ministries coordinating state-wide prayer summits for pastors of all denominations.

John has also been asked to serve on the board or executive of a number of ministriesincluding: Awakening 2000, Ministries Prayer Network, Tasmanian College of Ministries, Energiser Church Seminars and Rallies and was a founding member of the board of Anglicare the state (now national) Anglican welfare organization.

Through all this time John has been a Lay Reader in the Anglican Church with a licences to preach and teach in any church in the dioses of Tasmania.

Each year from 1991 – 98 John with his wife Roslyn have visited church planting sites and mission bases in Asia, mostly North India, providing pastoral support to frontier mission and church planting teams.

Currently John is Director of Pastoral Care for the MasterWorks Festival and on the board of directors for the parent body, The Christian Performing Artists’ Fellowship. He is licienced as a pastor by The King's Chapel Church in Fairfax Virginia. His time is divided between the development of the CPAF ministry at board level to counselling, teaching and writing Bible studies as well as using his technical and artistic skills in producing videos, CDs and other promotional materials.

John was also involved in the local church of St. Paul’s as a lay reader and as senior warden while living Virginia. Having moved (with the international office of CPAF) to Indiana he is now involved at the church of St. Anne in Warsaw.
